Public Safety
Residents, it is worth a quick reminder that maintaining an awareness of your surroundings is one of the easiest and safest ways to avoid becoming a victim of crime. For example, when pulling into a busy parking lot we often park in the first available space without looking around at the surrounding area. Taking an extra minute to observe your surroundings can help you avoid trouble.
The Kingwood Service Association Public Safety Committee Meeting is held every second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the South Woodland Hills Community Room, 2030 Shadow Rock, Kingwood, 77339.

Recently the Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department began utilizing a new service for the community to access important, valuable community specific information when you need it, using the latest technology.
Our agency will create and publish messages through the Nixle Community Information Service. Nixle will then deliver this information to you instantly via text, email and/or web message. Notifications can also be accessed online at Nixle’s web site at www.nixle.com.
Example messages may include, a tornado warning, severe weather warning, an evacuation message or a flash flood warning to name a few, as well as other relevant safety and community information.
The service is secure, reliable and easy to use. YOU decide what information you want and whether you want it sent to your cell phone, email, or just simply over the web.
